This paper summarizes the spatial analysis of traffic accidents in the urban area of Bogotá D. C., and the principies of this analysis are defined in order to guide it with the contribution of new elements and factors that determine spatiotemporal variables, that support the definition of territorial patterns of occurrence in the urban area of Bogota, which will be the basis for making future programming of interventions to prevent and reduce accident levels, as well as to improve the rates of road safety and mobility in the capital.
