Resumen

MOLINA RIOS, Juliana Angélica. New Discourses in Education: Schooling, Learning, Self-Government and Performativity. Folios [online]. 2017, n.45, pp.103-111. ISSN 0123-4870.

This article aims to describe how, due to political and economic dynamics, new discourses and notions about education have been created and how these generate new forms of institutional, social and individual practices. Therefore, it is common nowadays to talk about education as a necessary investment, learning to learn, education for all, among others. Based on such context, and the concept of performativity as a form of regulation of education, the article will present a description of why education is seen nowadays as an instrument for social productivity and development. Likewise, the article will reflect upon the notion of schooling, the shift from teaching to learning and how the latter adds elements in the consolidation of the self-government. In addition, the article will show how the notion of performativity is part of the educational policies of Colombia, specifically, in the case of the documents "Lineamientos Curriculares de Lengua Castellana" [Spanish Language Curricular Guidelines], "Estándares Básicos de Competencias del Lenguaje" [Language Competence Basic Standards] and series of guides of "Derechos Básicos de Aprendizaje-Lenguaje" [Basic Learning Rights-Language]. Finally, the conclusions will present the way in which such documents act as tools in the performative society.

Palabras clave : Education; performativity; learning; self-government; language.
