This article presents the results of a bibliometric analysis in the field of modeling the dissemination of innovations that allows a diagnosis of the evolution and current state of the art of this topic. The methodology used involved building and subsequently analyzing bibliometric quantity and quality indicators as well as conducting an analysis of the topological structure of authors' networks, considering their evolution over time in the period from 2005 to 2011. The findings show that this is a continuously growing, highly disseminated field with a strong dynamic in the evolution of its networks. It is advisable to analyze the text and to make dissemination curve adjustments that account for trends in this topic in the field.
