CAMACHO, Micaela y HORTA, Roberto. Well-being and happiness: Impacts of income, wealth and employment on subjective well-being at the urban level. The case of Montevideo. estud.gerenc. The well-being, its components, and determinants have regained importance in the economic theory. Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify the impact of three economic variables of the objective well-being on happiness (subjective well-being) of the individuals at an urban environment. Through a logistic regression model applied to data from Montevideo city, it was observed a significant relationship between income, wealth, and unemployment of a person and the probability to self-report as happy (positive in the first and second cases and negative in the third). Results allow to assist in the construction of public policy with respect to the relevance of the variables considered.
