Resumen

CASTILLO RAMIREZ, Alejandro. Barriers to implementing distributed generation - two representatives from developed countries vs. One representative from a developing country. Tecnura [online]. 2011, vol.15, n.29, pp.62-75. ISSN 0123-921X.

Nowadays there are several renewable energy technologies that transform natural energy from energy available to humans. In this article, we review the barriers that do not facilitate the implementation of renewable energy technologies in the system for interconnection of two representatives of developed countries (Denmark and Spain) as well as a representative of developing countries (Chile). From the above, is that representatives of developed countries have led to a significant penetration of renewable energy sources within their territories, in contrast to the representative of the underdeveloped countries, where those are in a transition phase. Hence, probably the strategies implemented by developed countries are a model for developing countries. Finally, we conclude that all causes problems contribute to increasing investment costs of renewable energy sources, in effect, given that these costs should be less than the benefits generated by those on promoting their real penetration in the developing countries.
