Endogenous endophthalmitis is responsible for 2-15% of endophthalmitis, it is associated with a systemic infection in up to 52-90% of cases, in the context of systemic infections such as liver abscesses, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, meningitis, intravenousdrug users and fungaemia. Haemophilus influenzae is an unusual etiologic agent of this pathology, there are few cases reported worldwide and no cases have been reported in our country. The endophthalmitis due to Haemophilus are characterized by having a somber visual prognosis, since they can present severe complications and can permanently affect vision.

Mentioned hereinafter, a case of endogenous endophthalmitis is described as the first manifestation of meningitis associated with H.Influenzae in an immunocompetent patient with no risk factors.
