The concept of 'cluster' has gained relevance in recent years for being a generator of multiple benefits and advantages for the clothing businesses and representing a source of growth and competitiveness for the regions. For their part, cluster initiatives precede it and are currently considered a proven instrument of strategic change, competitive improvement, and economic development; the fashion sector of the city finds itself amidst the creation of clusters. It is pertinent to identify how fashion companies' competitiveness in Manizales and Caldas is enhanced with the commitment to create a cluster through the recognition of its attributes and relationships with the improvement of competitiveness for the sector through a systematic review of the literature that accounts for the evolution of the concept and new trends that have emerged in terms of market dynamics, competition, and productivity for the understanding of clusters as a phenomenon of interaction that stimulates the competitiveness of the actors that comprise it.
