A section of the research concerning domestic water consumption in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, is presented. Presented here a methodology and results of the cross study developed in the summer of 2012, in which prevailed an intermittent supply of drinking water (for hours) to residents and other sectors of the city. Stratified probability sampling to collect information from a sample of households applying a statistical process correlation analysis and multivariate regression by OLS to get the variables that influence residential water consumption, resulting in six influential variables is performed in water consumption at household level.
