The habitat as a cultural, social and material reality is a specific type of relationship between men and space that he set, which arises as an exchange of meanings and energy that, upon the technique, making forms and historical addresses. They are unique and allow us to understand the habitat as a temporary reality at a time and place. Based in a case study in Ciudadela Nuevo Occidente in Medellín, this paper explores these particularities of human space generation in the context of State intervention over habitat for a population that sees transformed his existential conditions, from physical settlement of a proposal that disown the symbolic, organizational and material particularities. As a reaction practices arise regulated by society, with which it seeks to fix the human group-space relationship.
