MEJIA DURANGO, Isabel Cristina y JIMENEZ RUEDA, Carlos Antonio. COMPETITIVENESS AND PRODUCTIVITY OF THE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR IN PYMES COLOMBIA AND LATIN AMERICA. Tend. [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.1, pp.238-251. ISSN 0124-8693. https://doi.org/10.22267/rtend.202101.135.
This article aims to explore the main elements of competitiveness and productivity that the business administrator in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has in Colombia and other Latin American countries. For this, a literature review was carried out that seeks to find out how the generic and professional competences are found, based on the Tuning project and other studies of institutions and organizations at a qualitative level. This is done with the aim of comparing the current state of the discussion in the Colombian reality, with the rest of Latin America in order to establish their differences and / or similarities. The results obtained show that there are similarities compared to the competitiveness and productivity found in administrators both in Colombia and in other Latin American countries. However, emphasis is also placed on their training process when including cases from their region and not only from countries like the United States, as a learning process for these professionals.
