This article approached some theoretical aspects that allow an approximation to bases for the study of business growth and strategic direction, having as principal aim to establish the first approximation to the existing relation between these two subject matters. The methodology corresponds to the criteria of a basic or theoretical research, which tries to establish a theoretical frame to reach the proposed aim. As a result and principal conclusion of the research, it was established that there is a relation between both subject matters, principally in what it has to see with business growth and strategic orientation of the executive; and business growth and investment from the direction.
