This article offers an approximation to the concept of reflexivity and its function in Pierre Boudieu's Social Theory. It analyzes the changes suffered by the conceptual framework of reflexivity throughout the life of the French sociologist, from the purely epistemological significance of its early stages till the ethical content his work acquires later on. Reflexivity is then understood as a 'technology of the I' to quote Foucault's words. Thus, this article tries to explain the ethical turnaround of the last Bourdieu and the style of thinking promoted by his team of researchers.
