Public interest claim has been established as a suitable procedural tool for protecting the right to the environment; within their structure, cautionary measures play a fundamental role for assuring effectiveness of this collective right since the legislator has given this kind of claim special features which are consistent with the preventive purpose of the public interest claim and the precautionary principle.
