HOYOS, JOSÉ LUIS; PEREA ROMAN, CRÍSPULO y VELASCO M, REINALDO J. EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS OF PHYTOHORMONES IN MICROPROPAGATION OF DOMINICO HARTÓN PLANTAIN (Musa AAB Simmonds). Rev.Bio.Agro [online]. 2008, vol.6, n.2, pp.99-104. ISSN 1692-3561.
The effect of the hormonal concentration in the generation of bud in micropropagation of dominico-harton plantain (Musa AAB Simmonds) was evaluated with 10 treatments in a Complete Randomized Design (CRD). Three concentrations of BAP and IAA in a 3x3 factorial arrangement: 0,01; 0,5 and 5 mg/L were tested. The treatments presented significant differences (p< 0.01%) in vitro multiplication phase. The MSDt test showed that the major number of bud were found with 5mg/L of BAP / 0.5mg/L of AIA and 5mg/L of BAP / 0.01mg/L of AIA combinations. To determine the optimum concentration of AIA from the resultant rank (0,01-0,5 mg/L), an aditional experiment with 6 treatments in a Complete Randomized Design (CRD), varying only AIA concentration was conducted. The concentrations 0.2 and 0,3 mg/L of AIA (p< 0.01%) generated the biggest number of sprouts in the stage of multiplication
