Resumen

HENAO C, PAULA ANDREA; TAPASCO A, OMAR ALBERTO  y  SERNA V, MARÍA ANTONIA. VALIDATION OF THREE FOOD SUPPLEMENTS MADE FROM POST-HARVEST AGRO-INDUSTRIAL IN TERMS OF INCREASED MILK TOTAL SOLID. Rev.Bio.Agro [online]. 2011, vol.9, n.2, pp.105-113. ISSN 1692-3561.

This is a project to accompany a processing plant that takes advantage of post-harvest products in the region, in the production of a food supplement for cattle. The process involved the evaluation of three supplements on their chemical composition for substance and microbiological analysis to determine its safety. Finally, the validation of these three leading dietary supplements to determine if your intake increased the percentage of total solids of milk from the lot of animals that consumed it. Dietary supplements that were developed from post-harvest products, generated during the processing of pulps and nectars, showed no pathogens, and quantification of aflatoxins, moreover showed in addition to fiber content, protein and fat supplementation representative for animal feed. Subsequently validated in dairy supplements, with the aim of identifying those who expressed a better performance in total solids. These supplements were tested by statistical testing, seeking to determine whether the use of the same, increase the total solids of milk, compared with a traditional food. The results showed that in particular the use of supplemental B generates significant increases in total solids in milk.

Palabras clave : Dunnett's test; total solids; post-harvest agro-products; food supplements.
