Resumen

RENDON QUINTERO, Eduardo  y  RODRIGUEZ-GOMEZ, Rodolfo. Importance of Bonding in Childhood: Between Psichoanalysis and Neurobiology. Rev. Cienc. Salud [online]. 2016, vol.14, n.2, pp.261-280. ISSN 1692-7273.  https://doi.org/10.12804/revsalud14.02.2016.10.

The approachement between biology and psychoanalysis is difficult because both sciences use different methodologies for acquiring knowledge and for training their bodies of doctrine. Research in biology offers the possibility of quantifying and comparing results which are empirical supports, rather absent in psychoanalytic theory constructs. This is based more on the interpretive work contents arising during the therapeutic relationship with the patient, with more emphasis on his/her individual history and the patient-therapist relationship itself. However, there have been dialogue attempts between both disciplines that lead to mutual enrichment and a deeper understanding of such a complex and fascinating field as the human mind. Against this background, this article aims to establish a correlation between some findings and hypotheses from neurobiology and some postulates derived from the psychoanalytic theory focusing on the importance of the early mother-child bond as an influential factor in mental health of the individual.

Palabras clave : Mother-child relations; Psychoanalysis; Neurobiology.
