The present issue is a continuation of the challenge that we have put to ourselves this year in the publishing team. This challenge is the publication of scientific articles with high academic quality. In this issue the theme of political violence in Latin Ameri ca remains as the core. This thematic core condenses a wide spectrum of problems on which relevant research has been done, especially in the area of social sciences and humanities. We have also preserved spa ce for the publication of articles resulting from research and reflection activities on topics such as education, law, philosophy, political studies and governance.

In this edition, the thematic core section is made up of two articles. The first is entit led "Singing as repair mechanism in black communities, victims of violence, the Co lombian Pacific: pottering with Pacific In tegration Group". This article provides a panorama in which singing is constituted as a form of political, autobiographical and social resistance.

The second article is entitled "Forms of Resistance in the Construction in Hydro power Projects", this one addresses one of the most important national and Latin

American conjunctures at present. The re sistance that occurs when projects that po tentially can affect the quality of life of the inhabitants of these regions are carried out.

In the perspective research section we present five articles. The first is entitled "Different families, different consumption patterns: relationship between family dy namics and alcohol consumption among adolescents in Colombia". This article makes a qualitative study of the problem of alcohol consumption in adolescents in Colombia.

The second contribution of this section is called "From equal contractualism, to di fferential human development, a perspec tive of justice from the approach of human capacities in the process of return to civi lian life of demobilized persons in Colom bia". The concern of this text is centered on the accompaniment processes that must exist for the inclusion in civil society of the demobilized persons of the Colombian ar med conflict.

The third article is entitled "The Construc tion of English Learners' Identity from a Social Perspective". This article is a case on the construction of identity in school.

The fourth article of this section is ca lled "Meanings and Practices of Power: Approach to the experiences of university students". In this article we find that the author used a hermeneutical metod to ad dress the problem in question.

Finally, the sixth article is entitled "Perspec tive of writing centers in Colombia." In this the historical perspective of these centers within the country is reconstructed.
