This research article aims to present the theoretical and practical foundations on critical pedagogy in Colombia from analyzing the school in popular sectors, in order to recognize the many initiatives that have made it possible to potentiate their discourses and practices. In Colombia critical pedagogy is set in a field of promotion of new pedagogical practices, theoretical reflection, political mobilization and renewal of expressions and discourses of resistance. This allows individuals to assume pedagogy as a field of re-signification around the modes of constitution of subjects in contexts differentiated by deep inequalities and exclusions.
