JUAREZ VALERO, Eduardo. Espionage and intelligence structures during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.36, pp.1081-1104. Epub 01-Oct-2021. ISSN 1900-6586. https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.858.
The Spanish Civil War was a space of competition where the main intelligence networks tested and established decisive strategies to control information in this conflict, which later affected the Second World War and the Cold War. This article aims to structurally analyze this obscure clandestine factor to understand the Spanish and foreign organizations that participated in this conflict, their initial objectives, and the consequences of their presence in developing the major intelligence structures. Therefore, it comparatively analyzes the structures involved in both the Republican and rebel sides to understand their strategies and participation in managing privileged information.
