Purpose/Context.

This article aims to discuss the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on social rights - the right to health, the right to work, the right to education and the right to adequate food.

Methodology/Approach.

The methodological theoretical that supports this article is theoretical research, whose scope is to develop theoretical contribu-tions and apply them to a particular object.

Results/Findings.

It makes a theoretical contribution to the debate on the re-garding the repercussions in the sphere of social inequality and propose the international solidarity as a universal bioethical framework to support global measures to address such impacts.

Discussion/Conclusions/Contributions.

It is concluded that the international solidarity framework provides theoretical support and a discursive and norma-tive tool with a view to strengthening global efforts to face the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
