Abstract The use of mobile devices among people has gained wide acceptance, to the point of becoming a sector with great global representation; that's why academy should pay attention to this phenomenon with the aim of formalizing the process, procedures and technical activities necessary in production of quality applications, either in academic or industrial sectors. In this sense, the research group GRID at Universidad del Quindío is conducting a project called "Specifying a methodological framework for a laboratory dedicated to developing applications for mobile devices." So far there have been some stages in which information that is intended to share with the academic community through this document has been identified.
