In this article a proposal for the integration of decentralized generation architectures in microgrids environments, which includes the contribution of renewable energy sources for both the National Interconnected System and Non-Interconnected Areas is presented. Some aspects on the Colombian Electrical System are considered, the potential of renewable energy sources by regions and the evaluation quality energy in a test microgrid. Load-flow simulations were carried out, in which one of the main contributions the microgrids was checked in terms of reducing power losses and improving the voltage profiles.
