Resumen
MATTAR, Beatriz Inés. Analogic Hermeneutics and Teacher Formation for Inter-Cultural Work. Pensam. palabra obra [online]. 2016, n.15, pp.32-43. ISSN 2011-804X.
From a pedagogical experience with artists, this paper recalls the significance of hermeneutic philosophy in the professional formation of art teaches, proposing that Mauricio Beuchot's "analog hermeneutics" may both explain and justify their professional performance within an intercultural context. Teaching of arts is pervaded by interpretation: hermeneutics is the research process appropriate for humanities, and interpretative multiplicity also permeates artistic productions, so that teaching in a multicultural context supposes interpretation. Nevertheless, the training of professionals in art teaching in Argentina does not include hermeneutic philosophy. This paradox claims for deeper reflection about the role of hermeneutic philosophy in the realm of arts. This Article starts from Dahlhaus' epistemological position in order to build a history of music, also showing proximities to central concepts in Gadamer and Beuchot's hermeneutic theories. The former of them defines the knowledge of humanities re-interpreting artistic experience, while the latter continues the line of process supporting interpretative balance and analogue significance, applying hermeneutics to the issues of multiculturalism. Therefore, it is herein proposed that Beuchot's theory may well constitute an appropriate theoretical and methodological framework for the training of teachers in an intercultural context.
