OSPINA CHICA, Mario y LONDONO VASQUEZ, David Alberto. Written culture at Metropolitan Technological Institute - Medellín: A case study. Zona prox. [online]. 2015, n.23, pp.31-48. ISSN 2145-9444. https://doi.org/10.14482/zp.22.5832.
This paper deals with reading and writing as practices that are part of university culture regarding the learning in all knowledge areas. There is a difficulty in the education system in relation to conceive reading and writing as a central process in students’ learning process, in which teachers and students of the Engineering and Technology programs can participate, sharing undergraduate and graduate curricular courses. In this perspective, it is intended to integrate writing and reading, as instruments enabling learning, reflection, participation and research of each training process. Some data are shown as the base for a first step of the research "Literacy and written culture at university. A study of comprehension and production of written texts in the Metropolitan Technological Institute, 2013-2-2014-2", in agreement with the University of Envigado (IUE). In this research, young members of the Native Language study group participated. Methodologically, there were five groups: four control groups and one experimental group. They were applied an entry and an output test, with the consequent evaluation from the Textual Linguistics framework, using a rubric.
