The purpose of this study was to determine the scientific performance that two science teachers foster in ninth grade students and to show the different teaching strategies used by teachers of natural sciences, to foster scientific competence in the classroom, thus allowing feedback to the educational act to achieve a comprehensive training process. Through a case study it was determined that scientific skills that Natural Science teachers of an official school encourage are to identify, investigate, communicate, explain and work together. In the first four of these competences, students have limited performance while the latter is pivotal in the educational process of the learners.
