From the signing of the pact of peace between the Colombian State and the FARC-EP, the murders of social leaders and the human rights defenders in the country have increased within the country. In this context, the interest increases in reflecting about the causes and objectives of this practice. An historical context is developed incorporating the elimination of the other in the coordinates of the social inequality and the political exclusion; afterwards, from the concept of necropolitics, the forms of death instrumentalization are explained, and finally, it analyzes the effects of this practice in the chores of the social work.
