MENDEZ POLO, Olga Lucía. Approaches to the Assemblage of Water From the Management of the High Mountains, Case of the Territories of the Chingaza System in Colombia. Trab. soc. [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.2, pp.143-179. Epub 23-Feb-2023. ISSN 2256-5493. https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v24n2.98980.
The management of the territory that supplies water to the Chingaza System, which that supplies the city of Bogotá, is deciphered, in this article, as an assemblage of the government of the high mountains from the Integrated National Adaptation Plan -(INAP)- project and the Corredor de Conservación de Páramos Project (CPP) implemented in a sector of the Chingaza System, the upper basin of the Blanco River. The assemblage reveals the different functions that are assigned to water and the roles stipulated for the peasant population, which that gradually constitutes certain specific governmentalities in the territory. Thus, despite the fact that the recently implemented projects made an important effort to distance themselves from these practices, knowledge, narratives, and practices persist, even from other times and other places, allowing the fragmenting and hierarchical patterns of assemblage to be perpetuated.
