CASTANO, Norma Constanza. Piaget's Constructivist Epistemology, Recognition of Culture and Diversity for Training in Culturally Dissimilar Scenarios. Rev. colomb. educ. [online]. 2011, n.60, pp.107-122. ISSN 0120-3916.
Pedagogy, didactics, knowledge, and power establish relationships with reality, i.e. with their historical, social and cultural branches. In spite of that, they are split mainly due to we speak about relations with knowledge and analytical knowledge, and consequently, a Western knowledge. However, where are the tangible human beings in this tetrad? It seems necessary deal with other concepts that involve the subject, those which could contribute to understand our own educational issues, those given in an educational context, in a biologically diverse, multiethnic and multicultural country. From this perspective, it is relevant to discover Jean Piaget's contributions, his proposal of Constructivist epistemology where is evident an action logic and a meaning logic previous to a propositional reasoning that build a dialectical knowledge conception. Finally the paper argues education challenges in different cultural environments consist of establishing relationships among contemporary political ways, training and searching for alternatives in context about which we are -ourselves and others-.
