Non-formal early education and care modality has spread worldwide as an unschooling modality to reach those children living in vulnerable situations. In Mexico, the National Council for Educational Development (conafe) is responsible for managing the compensation pro-grams to fight educational backwardness. One of these programs is the NonFormal Early Childhood Program. The results shown in this paper are part of a research on indicators of good practice in ecce in the State of Puebla, one of the states with greater social inequality in Mexico. More specifically, we present some results that account for how the program contributes to improving the quality of life of participating mothers and children.
