Resumen
FERRARI, Marcela Beatriz. Decolonial Feminisms and Disability: Towards a Conceptualization of the Coloniality of Ability. Nómadas [online]. 2020, n.52, pp.115-131. ISSN 0121-7550. https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n52a7.
This work explains the importance of decolonial feminist categories of analysis to critically reflect on the definitions and conceptions of disability in the Latin American context. It points out that decolonial thinking meets the conditions of possibility to redefine and elaborate new categories of analysis in the field of social sciences, particularly at the intersection with disability issues. Thus, it proposes that concepts like coloniality of power, coloniality of gender, and racialization enable us to elaborate the concept of the coloniality of ability.
