Resumen
FRANCO PELAEZ, Zoila Rosa. BIOETHICS AND CARE ETHICS FOR INTEGRAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. Hacia promoc. Salud [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.1, pp.93-108. ISSN 0121-7577.
The purpose of this work is to show the results of the first part of the research, regarding the meaning undergraduate and post graduate students give to topics studied: bioethics, care ethics and human development. The objective is to promote a critical conscience pro-life; interpret the results based on theoretical aspects previously revised, with a qualitative focus for discourse analysis, and a comprehensive look. The study was carried out in 2007 and 2008 with two discussion groups made by students of the Social Work program and the Master Program in Culture and Drugs of the Juridical and Social Sciences Faculty of the Universidad de Caldas. An open question guide was applied in order to establish the meaning, by means of inter-textual comparison on the topics stated above. The results include the students approximations regarding the three topics; the undergraduate students answered in an intuitive manner, while the postgraduate students answered with a communicative performance based on their disciplinary knowledge of higher complexity, with a more flexible and fluid speech, but with significant voids in theoretical knowledge. The latter shows the need of a systematic study of the above-mentioned topics in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the university.
