Resumen

POSADA ESCOBAR, Jorge Jairo  y  CARRERO ROMERO, Sara Alejandra. Intergenerationality and interculturality in rural education experiences. Prax. Saber [online]. 2022, vol.13, n.33, pp.105-120.  Epub 01-Mar-2023. ISSN 2216-0159.  https://doi.org/10.19053/22160159.v13.n33.2022.13144.

This article presents the results of a study whose objective was to analyze, from the categories of interculturality and intergenerationality, on the one hand the educational expectations of the community of the Tolima Triangle Irrigation District (TTID) and, on the other hand, the rural educational experiences and those of rural higher education, which are referents for the construction of an educational proposal for this territory. The research project is qualitative and follows the methodology of content analysis. The analysis of expectations was based on interviews with different agents of the TTID. The study of the experiences of rural higher education and of rural schools was based on a documentary review, in which the principles, the curricular proposals, and the methodologies were identified. These are in line with the expectations and with the contributions of local agents. The experiences are characterized by being critical intercultural proposals that seek a differential education and/or one on their own. They respond to the needs and dreams of the communities, recognize ancestral knowledge, encourage the participation of young people and women, are linked to local social organizations, and some have an ethnic-cultural component.

Palabras clave : intercultural education; rural education; indigenous population; peasants.
