Resumen
SOLANO PINZON, Orlando. Inculturation of Theology as a Hermeneutic Exercise of Appropriation: Hypothesis regarding Gregory of Nyssa's. Cuest. teol. [online]. 2016, vol.43, n.100, pp.333-357. ISSN 0120-131X. https://doi.org/10.18566/cueteo.v43n100.a06.
The purpose of the article is to reveal that the process of inculturation undertaken by Gregory of Nyssa, through the use of the term Akolouthia in his work De Vita Moysis, might be understood as a hermeneutic exercise of appropriation. In relation to the previous hypothesis, it is argued that Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutics of Existence might be a suitable method for the inculturation of Theology nowadays, by revealing that interaction between the Holy Scriptures, the living tradition of the Church and cultural mediation, necessarily goes through a process of appropriation. Through the analysis of the aforementioned work, it is concluded that the elements involved in the inculturation process of Theology require considerable effort in order to make advance the intelligence of faith.
