PATINO-JARAMILLO, Elizabeth. Collective Actions and Reconfiguration of Citizenship. Young Women in Situation of Displacement in the Commune 3 of Medellin. Estud. Polit. [online]. 2017, n.50, pp.115-137. ISSN 0121-5167. https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.espo.n50a07.
This article examines the collective actions undertaken in young women displaced by armed conflict and violence in the Comuna 3 (Medellin) to overcome situations of vulnerability and affirm their rights as citizens. In this sense, the article reflects on the reconfiguration of citizenship based on the hypothesis that displaced young women generate collective actions and display assertive exercises that extend citizenship. This research applies a theoretical-methodological approach articulated from various theoretical sources. Moreover, the article claims the existence of a relationship between the processes of collective action and the reconfiguration of citizenship in a context of a widespread violation of rights, which is, analyzed under the framework of intersectionality. The aim of this study is to understand the condition of people in environments of exclusion, who, more than victims, should be understood as agents with abilities and the capacity to generate relations with other agents, thus, creating collective identities and solutions.
