CARVAJAL MORALES, Tatiana; SALAZAR RENDON, Milton Andrés y CASTANO URDINOLA, Jessica. Mapping of Resistance. Youth Collective Action and the Right to the City in Manizales, Colombia. Estud. Polit. [online]. 2022, n.63, pp.104-130. Epub 18-Jul-2022. ISSN 0121-5167. https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.espo.n63a05.
Politics, understood as conflicting practices of institution of meaning that seek a desired order to “be together” is threatened by activities that break her antagonistic nature appealing to the order of consensus. The article presents the results of an investigation that sought to understand how social groups and networks operate that rise disagreements in Manizales, Colombia, to whom a characterization and mapping instrument was applied. From a cultural studies approach and participative methodologies, we conclude that collective action in the city is mainly organized by young people, who are articulated around multiple demands. While the practices of resistance lean towards the micropolitical, they also influence the macropolitical, and finally, important articulation spaces have emerged that could be enunciated as demands for the right to the city.
