The paper presents a critical analysis of the evolution of scientific system and the academic community of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, taking as time horizon the last decade, which coincides with the presence of the revolutionary government. In this way, addresses the changes in the institutional system. It concludes by appealing to the consolidation of an objective metric system of science and technology, so as to reduce the distortions that contain the system.
