Results show that teachers identify the following as the main institutional conditions favoring meaningful practices in teaching reading and writing:
a. autonomy and freedom, b. physical facilities, c. access to material and technological resources, d. support for teacher training, e. teamwork f. proposal or support for an innovative pedagogical proposal and g. parental. Regarding personal conditions, the following were identified: having a model or motivation for teaching practice and having opportunities for formal education.
