MORALES-RUBIANO, María Eugenia; DUQUE-OROZCO, Yenni Viviana e ORTIZ-RIAGA, Carolina. Methodological Model to Strengthen Innovation Dynamic Capacities in SMEs. Rev. esc.adm.neg [online]. 2019, n.86, pp.13-33. ISSN 0120-8160. https://doi.org/10.21158/01208160.n86.2019.2286.
This research paper aims at presenting an intervention model to strengthen innovation capacities in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), by making a qualitative approach in which three dynamic capacities for innovation were taken as reference: exploration, exploitation, and maintenance or reconfiguration, taking the pedagogical strategy of the "workshop" as a fundamental axis. The MSMEs that were selected for this intervention belong to the tourist and manufacturing sectors in the cities of Pereira and Bogotá.
In its first part, this paper shows theoretical referents on innovation dynamic capacities. The second section describes the methodology that was used for the design that has been proposed. Next, the methodological design to strengthen innovation dynamic capacities in SMEs is presented. Concluding the text, there is a description and explanation of the results achieved, together with some important reflections on this topic. The research outcomes show that the diversity of capacities present in SMEs make it necessary to find a variable that allows them to be grouped to carry out the intervention and, thus complement the strategy of group sessions with personalized visits and follow-up visits, in order to guarantee an effective support to those who show difficulties in the process of appropriation of the proposed concepts and processes.
