HERNANDEZ SANCHEZ, Adriana; DE LA TORRE SANCHEZ, Christian Enrique  e  RAMIREZ ROSETE, Norma Leticia. Casa Analco, university outreach project with the community and heritage urban and social architecture of Puebla's (Mexico) neighborhoods. Rev. Ciudades Estados Política [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.1, pp.33-50.  Epub 15-Dez-2021. ISSN 2462-9103.

Casa Analco is a project of Facultad de Arquitectura of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (FABUAP) that proposes a community approach to the neighborhoods (barrios) of the Historical Center of Puebla, based on the rescue of an old property. Since 2018, the work team has developed various strategies in order to use the space before its intervention, an action that is not common in the buildings of an institution such as the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), so the property has been promoted for voluntary actions, workshops of patrimonial interest and the presentation of various topics by specialists. This explains that there are new ways to protect the heritage before its total intervention, evaluating the conditions of the buildings and promoting their recovery based on participation, in this case with the university community, external volunteers and the neighbors of Analco, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Puebla. Under the current conditions in which the property is located, the students have been linked to taking courses on architectural surveys in heritage houses, techniques, and procedures for finishing with traditional materials, in addition to work on rehabilitation and management for their intervention. The proposal is to consolidate a cultural space where the public, especially the residents of the neighborhood, can benefit from different types of initiatives and programs, linking groups and collectives that promote citizen participation.
