Objective: A bibliographic investigation of the pharmacoeconomics evaluation for the National Health Systems was made in order to asses the economic and social importance value for conduced efficiency improves in making decisions. Methods: A bibliographic review was realized to information's search in the international and national ambit for interest to argue incorporation pharmacoeconomics in the health systems. Results: Thus, the required levels of pharmacoeconomics efficiency justifying the use of drugs in the health public budgets. For this reason, pharmacoeconomics applied to pharmacotherapy is considered as another element contributing to improve the rational prescription, which leads to the efficient use of health resources in making decisions. Conclusion: As it is showed in the bibliography review, pharmacoeconomics occupied a very special place in the topic of drugs efficiency. Using pharmacoeconomics techniques we can define the research lines based not only in effectiveness but in efficiency, also improved the efficiency inside in the National Health Systems.
