The reflection on the curricular culture in perspective of the permanent evaluation and the continuous improvement require processes that show the quality of the professional training. The present text is inscribed in this context, which exposes the results of the self-evaluation process of the Archival Science Program of the Escuela Interamericana de Bibliotecología, University of Antioquia, in the light of the demands of the discipline in the Colombian context. This process evidenced the high degree of compliance with the quality requirements for the training of professionals in Archival Science, due to the maturity, solidity and social relevance of the program, in line with the disciplinary challenges, the needs of the environment and the experience in archival training that the EIB has in the region; training that is part of the conception of archivism as an autonomous discipline (independent of others that integrate the information sciences), based on documentary management, with an administrative approach, patrimonial, as well of the memory of the nation.
