TUFRO, MANUEL. The Neighborhood's Chronotope Daily Life, Lines of Argument, and Truth in the Discourse of a Group of Neighbors to Prevent Crime.. Signo pensam. [online]. 2010, vol.29, n.57, pp.330-341. ISSN 0120-4823.

The notion of "daily life" is both a sociological and an interpretative resource when decoding common and familiar practices. Our aim is to examine how the notion of "daily life", along with the idea of "neighborhood", can become or be used as an argumentative common place (topoi) that plays a central role in a wider, more understandable expository strategy oriented towards the production of non-political effects. Taking Ducrot's argumentation theory and Garfin-kle's ethnomethodology as our theoretical framework, we analyze a corpus of discourses produced by the members of a neighborhood's organization to prevent crime in La Paternal, a neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Palavras-chave : daily life; neighborhood; neighbors; topoi; citizen security; Everyday life; Citizen security; Crime prevention.
