Abstract In a period of crisis, with questions about Colombian health system, medical schools are interested in education imparting humanistic, cultural and social development, additional to knowledge and disciplinary skills. This is as part of comprehensive educational training to moral ideals of profession. To be consistent with the pedagogical purpose, academic and curricular designs have to show actions on organization and distribution of knowledge to consider ethical and political issues of the health system and applicant s moral vocation as budget of future professional. The article shows potential barriers to the model and proposed interventions, envisions levels of permanent disciplinary training since the medical humanities and sciences.
