RODRIGUEZ, Rodolfo. Internet, public health 2.0 and complexity. Rev. Univ. Ind. Santander. Salud [online]. 2014, vol.46, n.3, pp.297-303. ISSN 0121-0807.

As of today, Internet has changed the world and since his commercial incursion in the early nineties of the twentieth century, this would not be the same. Its impact has been monumental and historically few inventions in the humanity history have changed so much the lives of the human beings. However, the internet is much more than a few connected computers and some web sites to access. Additionally, some rules of nature for cells and species also apply to Internet. The World Wide Web and phenomena that inhabit on it as a public health 2.0, are more than a network of websites connected by hyperlinks. The web 2.0 belongs to one of those collective intelligence where like in swarms, the concept of self-organizations is essential. The new scientific revolution brings different concepts to try to understand the dynamics of the World Wide Web and thereby to comprehend from another perspective the complex phenomena as public health.
