This article corresponds to partial results of the doctoral thesis assigned to the line of research "Teaching of science, context and cultural diversity" of the Interinstitutional Doctorate in Education, Francisco José de Caldas District University headquarters and addresses the question of the conceptions about the life from the cosmogony of the Muruy people in La Chorrera-Amazonas-Colombia. This narrative was built from the contents of the interview with Gil Farekatde Maribba, as a knowledgeable person chosen by the Muruy community, and different documentary sources, observations from the field newspaper, among others. The article describes the ontological unit Human Being - Nature - Spirituality, emphasizing the origin, the word, the tangible and intangible and their implications in the conceptions about life and the care of it. It also analyzes the epistemological aspects contained in life care practices.
