REY CADAVID, Shannon. FROM REBIRTH TO DOWNFALL? SOCIO-CULTURAL STRUGGLE IN PRESENT-DAY BOLIVIA. anal.polit. [online]. 2021, vol.34, n.101, pp.144-172.  Epub 12-Jul-2021. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v34n101.96566.

After the resignation of indigenous president Evo Morales, characterized by his decolonial speech, this text offers a reflection on the political relevance of visual communication and clothing, especially in fields such as fashion and cultural industry. Using tools of critical discourse analysis, the article describes the transformations that occurred in Bolivia during the governments of Morales in terms of socio-cultural expressions. In this period, indigenous culture experienced a process of rebirth and became an example of Latin American resistance against colonization. Such rebirth is precarious due to political changes that, bible in hand, threatened to wither indigenous achievements that, amidst criticism, flourished during the governments of Morales.
