The paper busies itself with the conceptual change in the public/private field. Firstly it tackles the theoretical oppositions within these two concepts; then it studies the relevance of said oppositions. Finally, it attempts to give a point of view that overcomes this common polarization, and moves towards defining the role of communication in the characterization of the wide public/private sphere.
