The text analyzes the arguments around the problem of "insecurity" on a neighborhood level from the perspective of public issues. From a qualitative work based on in-depth interviews and participant observations in multiple scenarios, the article follows the shining progress closely and the acquisition of protagonism by an inhabitant of the neighborhood under study, as well as the dramaturgical skills involved in becoming the main protagonist, and the tensions and sympathy created with other participants during this journey.
