The essay examines the impact of recent European Directives concerning the non discrimination principle on contractual law. In particular, it considers the influence of such a principle on the content of the contract and on the contractual choice. In addition, it analyses if the principle can be applied only to the offer to the public or also to individual contracts. The essay in general makes a reflection on the influence of the principles of equality and of dignity on the contract.
