CORREA, Joaquin. The Monsters of Year 2001: Work and Money in Some Poets of the Argentinean Nineties. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.2, pp.57-96. ISSN 0123-5931. https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v22n2.86085.
Imagining, - like Aby Warburg did - the Argentinean gestural economic heritage in the internal history of the images of the 1990s poetry and its projections, this paper proposes a reading of a series of poems that approach the subject of money or job in a critical period for Argentinians. This investigation will allow us to observe the distances or proximities of poetry with the world of work that, in those years, suffered transformations that only until today we are beginning to understand. Therefore, some of the poets will propose an economic reading of the recent past and others will look at the present. In all cases, poetry will not remain unscathed and will see its aesthetic presuppositions modified.
